A smile for sick children

We are thrilled to present a project that touches us deeply: "Eddie Flitzefuß". This heart-warming story takes us into the world of Eddie, a little squirrel who, with the help of his friends Lenni and Rosina, comes to the hospital to get well again. It was invented by Ursula Meisinger and Milly Orthen, two dedicated photographers from the Munich-Schwabing paediatric clinic.

With great empathy, the book guides the young patients through the various areas of a paediatric hospital. Eddie and his friends playfully discover the world of medical examinations. The aim of the book is to take away children's fear of hospitals by making complex topics easy to understand and accessible.

It is particularly worth emphasising that each book comes with an insert booklet in 20 languages, so that children from international families can also experience Eddie's story. We are convinced that all children, regardless of their origin or the reason for their hospital stay, have the right to access comforting and educational materials.

With a donation of €500, we want to help that even more sick children in hospital experience joy and find a smile. We are proud to be part of this important project and are delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of young readers.
